The Czech Republic and Ukraine will jointly produce weapons and training aircraft, as well as repair tanks.
This was stated by Czech President Petr Pavel during a visit to Kyiv at a joint briefing with Volodymyr Zelensky and Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova.
According to Pavel, six projects in this direction have already been developed.
“This is the production of weapons, ammunition, the repair of tanks like the T-62, as well as the potential production of training aircraft. For us, the transfer of technology and production is a priority so that this production can be partially or completely carried out on the territory of Ukraine. The end result will be used taking into account technologies , which are in both countries,” the Czech president said.
Earlier, Deputy Defense Minister Tomasz Kopechny said in an interview with Czech Radio that the Czech Republic was ready to accept up to several thousand Ukrainian specialists to work in the arms industry . According to him, this would satisfy the demand for weapons, which has increased in connection with the war in Ukraine.
